Submit a proposal to carry out a scoping study that will inform a new doctoral initiative.

The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) invites proposals from highly qualified individuals based in Africa or teams of researchers (not exceeding 2 persons) to carry out a scoping study that will inform a new doctoral initiative. For proposals involving teams, at least one team member should be based in Africa.

Applicants must have:

• Excellent knowledge of the African higher education landscape;
• Track record of policy-relevant research, especially in higher education; and,
• A good knowledge of networks supporting delivery of regional doctoral programmes in the social sciences.

Experience in design of graduate programmes is an added advantage.

The study will commence on March 29, 2016 and be completed by September 28, 2016 (6 months). More detailed information is available in the Framework Paper for PASGR’s Doctoral Initiative and Call for Proposals
